When someone helps you and they’re struggling too, that’s not help, that’s love.
I’m so grateful for the people who don’t give up on me are patient with me.
Below you will find six lesser-known laws of gratitude that will have a significant impact on your life! Let us know your feedback in the comments below.
1. You don’t need more than what you have.
This does not apply to people who do not have enough to survive, that is food, shelter, and clean water. If you look at it on a smartphone or a computer, there is a good chance that your life will be better than that of billions of people around the world.
You have what you need. You do not need more. That doesn’t necessarily mean you don’t strive for more, but you don’t need more.
2. Be present in order to be grateful.
You can not truly be grateful for the people and things in your life if you do not exist in the present. Your blessings begin with the breaths you are taking now.
The best thing you can do is find yourself grateful for this exact moment in life.
3. Gratitude is the highest praise.
To be grateful to the people in your life is the greatest gift, the highest praise, that you could possibly give them.
Maybe some people will not stay in your life forever, and it does not matter in some ways. You can still be grateful for the fact that your paths crossed at all.
4. The more grateful you are, the more you attract good things.
When you feel gratitude for everything you have, you are immediately more likely to attract good people and good things for you. You attract more flies with honey than with vinegar, right?
5. Being grateful makes you happy.
Yet being happy doesn’t always mean you’re grateful. Feeling gratitude helps you to feel truly happy. When you’re grateful for what’s in your life, happiness seems to come naturally.
6. Gratitude forces you to forgive.
It doesn’t matter how badly you’ve been burned by someone, we learn a little bit about ourselves and the world from each person we allowed into our lives, and for that, we should be grateful.
